2000 Tucson Metropolitan Street Atlas Guides You Through a Year Of Driving

PHOENIX - Here's a New Year's Resolution you can keep: make more efficient use of your time. Here's a tool to help you do it: the newest edition of the Tucson Metropolitan Street Atlas.

The 2001 Tucson Metropolitan Street Atlas was released last week. Used by thousands of professionals and known as the "Yellow One" for its bright yellow cover, this updated street atlas contains the most up-to-date maps of the metropolitan Tucson area now available. Taxi drivers, delivery drivers, and people who use maps as part of their work or business use it to help make the most efficient use of their time behind the wheel. Produced by Phoenix Mapping Service, the publishing division of Wide World of Maps, Inc. of Phoenix, the 23rd edition of this popular street map book includes new streets, subdivisions, annexed areas and thousands of changes that have taken place since last year's edition.

The 2001 edition also shows new golf courses, schools, parks and fire stations and gives users a detailed look at recent changes in downtown Tucson. Users will also find the easy-to-read zip code map shows the new zip code boundaries for the area.

All of the maps in the Tucson Street Atlas are prepared digitally. The digitally produced maps provide improved detail and accuracy. The 2001Tucson Metropolitan Street Atlas covers more than 2000 square miles including Tucson, Marana, Oro Valley, South Tucson, Green Valley, Sahuarita, Catalina and 23 other communities that are part of the metropolitan Tucson area.

In addition to the updated street maps, the atlas contains a comprehensive alphabetical street index that lists the location and map reference to more than 10,000 streets. The book also contains enlarged detail maps of downtown Tucson, Tucson International Airport and the University of Arizona campus, along with area school districts. A large 17"x 22" full-color fold-out map showing major streets is included as a special bonus.

The Tucson Metropolitan Street Atlas is available now for $17.95 at map stores and better office supply stores, bookstores and blueprint shops. It can also be purchased by calling Wide World of Maps in Phoenix at 800-279-7654, or visiting their website at www.maps4u.com.
