2004 Metro Phoenix Street Atlas
Has Latest Updates
PHOENIX Every year there are thousands of changes to maps of the metropolitan Phoenix area. These include new sections of the freeways; new subdivisions with hundreds of new streets; name changes; new parks, golf courses, shopping centers, fire stations, post offices, stadiums and more. So it is easy to see that there are thousands of reasons to get a copy of the updated 2004 Phoenix Metropolitan Street Atlas. Often referred to as the the Yellow One for its distinctive bright yellow cover, this street atlas has been produced every year for the last 29 years by Phoenix Mapping Service, the map-making division of locally owned Wide World of Maps.
Its a must-have for tens of thousands of drivers in the Phoenix area. Delivery drivers, taxi drivers, emergency services personnel, as well as construction, utility, real estate, home services and repair companies rely on this product for the latest information available to help them navigate around the ever-expanding metropolitan Phoenix area. Busy families who find themselves driving all over town for shopping, activities and events should also have a copy for each car.
We make our maps with commitment to helping users get where theyre going, the right way, the first time, says Bob Cournoyer, senior cartographer at Wide World of Maps. Keeping the Phoenix Metropolitan Street Atlas current has been a full-time job for Cournoyer since 1986. This is the only map of metro Phoenix that's updated on an ongoing basis and published every year. It contains the most accurate maps of the Valley that youll find.
The accuracy of the 2004 Phoenix Metropolitan Street Atlas is a source of pride for Wide World of Maps, and its users. While the primary information comes from such official sources as the Maricopa County Recorders office; various city planning, zoning, and parks and recreation offices; school districts and aerial photos, some of the best information comes from users themselves. In the back of each copy of the Yellow One are Suggestion and Comment cards. Atlas users recommending changes and updates send about 200 cards in every year. The user information is always researched to determine that it is authentic and accurate before a change is made to the maps. Because of that attention to detail, area drivers realize that having the latest edition of the Phoenix Metropolitan Street Atlas is as important as a regular oil change.
This year, 72 square miles of detailed mapping have been added to the street atlas, to include new growth areas in the northwest valley. The atlas now has 85 pages of detailed maps that include new golf courses, schools, parks, police and fire stations, major points of interest, and give users a detailed look at recent changes to older neighborhoods as well as the brand new ones. The 2004 Phoenix Metropolitan Street Atlas covers an area of approximately 60 miles east-west and 40 miles north-south. It includes map enlargements of Downtown Phoenix, Central Corridor and Downtown Scottsdale. Users will also find updated versions of the local Zip Code Map, School District Map, Area Code Map, ASU Campus Map and Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport Map. In addition to the updated street maps, the atlas contains a comprehensive alphabetical street index that lists the location and map reference to more than 20,000 streets. A large 17" x 22" full-color foldout map showing major streets is included as a special bonus.
The 2004 Phoenix Metropolitan Street Atlas is available now for $19.95 at map stores, most office supply stores, book stores and blueprint shops.
