2005 Pinal County Street & Road Atlas
is now available.
PHOENIX The first-ever Pinal County Street Atlas, published in 2002, met with rave reviews. Now, demand for the product, as well as the county’s population, has increased rapidly in nearly every community in Pinal County. So, the folks at Wide World of Maps have updated the maps and produced a new street atlas.
The 2005 Pinal County Street & Road Atlas is available now. This countywide, up-to-date, full-color-detail atlas has all the high-quality extras of the Phoenix Metropolitan Street Atlas, and is also known as “The Yellow One” for its distinctive bright-yellow cover.
Cities and towns are shown in different colors to make county/city boundaries clear. Hospitals, schools and parks are clearly marked, as well as points of interest, historical sites, monuments, and wilderness areas. Arizona’s major roads are clearly marked, as are the easy-to-read block numbers and the alphabetical street index.
The maps are assigned to three different sections. One section covers detailed residential street maps showing one township per page; while another section shows rural areas at a somewhat smaller scale with up to four townships per page. The third section shows detailed street maps of isolated smaller-population centers and towns as insets so they can also be seen in full detail. These sections are all made clear by the Map Page Index at the front of the book. Also, at the front of the atlas are easy-to-understand Legends, Contents, and “How to Use the Atlas” sections provided in English as well as Spanish. A nice extra feature is a collection of scenic aerial photos that were taken around Pinal County, giving map users a unique bird’s-eye-view of selected sites and communities.
Now for the unbelievable! The price of this new updated street atlas is actually LESS than the price of the first edition. The first edition was priced at $39.95. The price of the new 2005 Pinal County Street & Road Atlas has been lowered to $24.95. When asked, “why the lower price?” James Willinger, president of Wide World of Maps explained: “The first edition of any new map project is always the most expensive to produce, and we thought there would only be a small number of customers for the product. We soon learned the map was being purchased not only by government agencies and large companies, but small businesses and local residence throughout the county were buying them too. This allowed us to plan for a larger production run of the atlases that lowered our cost.”
Lowering the price by more than 35% to $24.95 makes the product more affordable and a real value for consumers in need of up-to-date maps of Casa Grande, Coolidge, Florence, Maricopa, Apache Junction, Gold Canyon and SaddleBrooke and other Pinal County communities. The 2005 Pinal County Steet & Road Atlas can be purchased at various retail stores in Pinal County or by calling Wide World of Maps in Phoenix at 602-279-2323 or 800-279-7654; visiting their website at www.maps4u.com; or visiting one of their two stores at 2626 W.
