Scottsdale Area Chamber of Commerce selects
Wide World of Maps for Official Map Project

SCOTTSDALE – The people who make it their business to know where things are in Arizona will soon be making a new map of Scottsdale to provide updated information for visitors and newcomers. Locally owned, Wide World of Maps has been chosen to produce the 2005 Scottsdale Area Chamber of Commerce Map. The project includes map design and production as well as listing and advertising sales. The formal announcement will take place at the ribbon cutting at Wide World of Maps new location in Scottsdale at 7325 E. Frank Lloyd Wright Blvd. on January 4th at 4:30 p.m. Chamber officials as well as other community business leaders will be in attendance.

The full-detailed map will use the latest edition digital cartography from Phoenix Mapping Service (a division of Wide World of Maps, best known for it’s Yellow One street atlases and wall maps of Phoenix and other Arizona communities) to show complete street detail for the Scottsdale and adjoining areas. In addition to the latest street and highway information, the map will include schools and colleges, post office, hospital, law enforcement, library and points of interest locations. You’ll also be able to find parks, golf courses, shopping centers, sports facilities, lakes, rivers and other attractions.

The oversized 40” x 27”, folded map is the only map authorized by the Scottsdale Chamber of Commerce. More than 20,000 copies will be printed. Chamber members and other businesses and organizations are invited to help sponsor the map by purchasing listings in the Business and Professional Directory located on the map.
