Top Books in Arizona announced at
Glyph Awards Banquet

The winners of the Arizona Book Awards were announced on October 6 at a festive banquet at the Phoenix Country Club. In addition to the book awards, Glyph Awards were presented for Excellence in Publishing, Embodying Arizona, Most Valuable Person, and the Korwin Award for Visionary Leadership.

Wide World of Maps receives the
Excellence in Publishing Award.

The award was accepted for the company by company president James Willinger.

This award has only been presented to only a few very select publishers in the state (Arizona Highways and University of Arizona Press are both past recipients).

“The recognition was awarded for this publisher’s ability to consistently produce high quality publications for more than three decades. With noted strengths in publishing innovation, marketing and distribution, their publications are well recognized and widely used. They have maintained a highly regarded reputation in the Arizona publishing industry, providing encouragement and leadership to other publishers.”
