Uganda Folding Map (ITMB)
The emerald green landscape of lovely Uganda continues to be popular with visitors from around the world. ITMB's latest updated map showcases one of the real treats of the African continent. The map has a new inset map of Kampala, a new cover design, and modest updating of information.
This one-sided road and travel map of Uganda shows international boundaries, district boundaries, national parks, national reserves, rivers, streams or creeks, intermittent streams, wetlands and swamps, international airports, national airports, aerodromes and small craft facilities, ports, gasoline or petrol stations, post offices, hospitals and medical facilities, points of interest, ruins or archeological sites, museums, campsites or huts, mines, rest houses and hostels, lodging, car ferries, forts, and border crossings. The transportation network shows railroads, ferry routes, and differentiates between five levels of roads from primary paved roads to trails, with point-to-point distances in kilometers. It also differentiates between four levels of populated areas from capital to village, while indicating urban areas. Topographic contour lines and hypsographic color changes show changes in elevation.
An inset map of Kampala includes points of interest, markets, lodging, schools, post offices, banks, mosques, churches, hospitals, bus stations, embassies, police stations, museums, and golf courses.
The sidebars include color photographs and describe places of interest to the traveler including Kidepo Valley National Park, Narus River, Gulu, Baker's Fort, Mount Elgon, Mountains of the Moon, Nile River, Kibale National Park, Bwindi National Park, Queen Elizabeth II Park (Ruwenzori National Park), Virunga National Park, Kazinga Channel, Lake Datwe, Maramagambo Forest, Ruwenzori Mountains, Margherita Peak, Mount Stanley, Mwanza, Kabale, Fort Portal, Sempaya, Ntandi, Murchison Falls National Park, Masaka, Ssese Islands Parks, Kasese, Kampala, Jinja, Owen Falls (Ripon Falls), and Tororo.
