Map CD-ROM Compatibility
Terrain Navigator software is compatible with the following types of map CD-ROMs:
USGS Topographic Series CD-ROMs (included with the Standard Edition of Terrain Navigator)
Digital Guide Series CD-ROMs (such as National Parks and Appalachian Trail)
US Terrain Series CD-ROMs (included in older versions of TopoScout and G-REF)
Terrain Navigator software is not compatible with Professional USGS Topographic Series CD-ROMs (included with Terrain Navigator Pro software).
Terrain Navigator and Terrain Navigator Pro can both be installed on the same computer. Some data files (such as Markers, Routes, and Tracks) can be transferred between the two programs, but maps cannot be shared between the two programs.
