Map of the Sky (E)
Eurographics Map of the Sky provides a celestial map as seen from both the northern and southern hemispheres of Earth. Each major star has its name or numerical designation while each major constellation has its name and has its stars connected by straight lines. The map uses color to indicate surface temperature of each star, size to indicate the magnitude of each star, and uses symbols to indicate double stars, variable stars, diffuse and planetary nebulae, galaxies, gaseous nebulae, novas, quasars, open clusters, globular clusters, and Occidental zodiac designation. Below the legend is an artistic representation of some of the main constellations, with the stars superimposed upon images of the characters and objects for which the constellations are named.
