One World Map (RMI)
The One World Map beautifully displays the earth with very little distortion. All capitals, major cities, and important geographic features are named, but Raven has excluded all political boundaries. The ocean depths are shown in dramatic shades of blue, while the rest of the earth is shown in colors reflecting the elevations.
The landforms are simplified and exaggerated with such art that they look appropriate, and make it possible to understand features which would completely disappear in a literal rendering. This is a technique which only works when it is handled with great skill and restraint. The One World Map is one of our most popular astronomy related maps.
